gOutbound is published on Google Play as "gOutbound: Hire Telecallers" (package com.goutbound). This page explains how to permanently delete your gOutbound account and the data we hold about you. You can also reach this page from the footer of every page on goutbound.com.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the gOutbound app and sign in.
- Go to your Profile screen.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and choose Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is signed out immediately and the data listed below is removed within 30 days.
Option 2 — If you cannot sign in
Email support@goutbound.com from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my gOutbound account". Include:
- Your registered email or phone number
- Whether you used the app as a Client or a Freelancer
- A note confirming you understand the deletion is permanent and any unwithdrawn wallet balance must be cashed out first
We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
What we delete
- Your profile (name, photo, bio, skills, languages, business info)
- Your messages and any files you shared in chat
- Your gig listings, proposals, and any drafts
- Your search history, app interactions, and analytics events tied to your account
- Your push notification tokens and device identifiers
- Your bank account details and saved payout information
What we retain (and why)
The following records are retained beyond account deletion only where Indian law requires:
- KYC verification records (Aadhaar reference tokens, face/liveness verification proofs) — typically up to 5 years after the last transaction, per RBI / PMLA KYC retention rules.
- Transaction and tax records (gig payments, wallet recharges, withdrawals, subscription history) — 7 years for Income Tax / GST audit compliance.
- Records subject to active legal proceedings or law-enforcement requests — for the duration of the matter.
After the retention period expires, these records are also deleted or anonymised.
Third parties we notify
When you delete your account, we instruct the following processors to delete your data on their side:
- Firebase (Google) — auth credentials and push tokens
- Appwrite — primary backend data
- OneSignal — push notification tokens
- DigiLocker / Meon — KYC verification records (subject to their own legal retention)
- Shorebird — app version metadata
